Konica-Minolta has decided to relinquish the chase against digital camera industry giants, focusing instead on professional copy machines and fax machines. The company will discontinue production of its camera products toward the end of this year’s first quarter. After acquiring the company’s technology, Sony will address all concerns and needs of current Konica-Minolta camera owners, in addition to offering Sony cameras in the future that will be compatible with Konica-Minolta lenses.
