Digital portrait photography will give excellent results if you look upon the person you are photographing, as your most favorite person at that instant. A good portrait photographer is one who is able to connect with his subject and is deeply interested in him/ her, to get the best out of it, though just for the time of shooting. Canon EOS 1D mark II n Review |

The Canon EOS 1D Mark II n is an updated version of the Canon EOS 1D Mark II. It has the same body, 8.2 mega pixel, imaging chip, processor and handling layout very much similar to the older camera. However, there have been some significant modifications done in this new version. It includes a new 2.5” LCD, faster image recording and increased customization options. All these will probably offer persuasive upgrades to those users who depend on the 1D Mark II for number of hours every day.
The most prominent feature of the 1D Mark II n of Canon, is undoubtedly its continuously capturing rate of 8.5 frames /second. Including its pure speed, an impressive processor has also been included in this new version. This processor is capable of handling a data stream of 22 RAW in merely 18 seconds or about 40 complete resolution and JPEGs in approximately the same time. It is good news for those professional photographers who are attracted towards the Canon EOS 1D Mark II that the fundamentals of the camera have not been changed; they are kept strong as before. Most of the buyers of this new version will be drawn towards its speed, image quality and durability. These aspects of this camera remain unaffected in the course of time. Most specifically, the Canon EOS 1D Mark II n has been designed for the use of photographers, who cover sports-news for magazines. It will also prove good for portrait shooters looking for a versatile and small format digital camera. Several major improvements in the Mark II n has made it to replace its predecessor the EOS 1D Mark II, which was at the top in its category. Write Comment (1 Comments) |

Digital SLR (single lens reflex) cameras allow you to use various lenses for wildlife photography, be it a birding setup, those cheetah action shots or beautiful sunset landscapes. They function the same way as regular SLR cameras in that they have a moveable mirror that is placed a certain way. In a regular SLR camera, the mirror is placed between the lens and the film. With a digital single lens reflex camera, there is no film. Instead, the film is replaced by digital capabilities that store the image directly in the camera. The mirror basically reflects the image back to you on the view finder.
This basically means that instead of being fixed to a certain lens, a digital SLR camera allows you to have multiple lenses and exchange them depending on your photographic needs. One of its possible uses is for taking wildlife and action photos. This is the type of camera that you need to have if you are a professional or a serious amateur. There are several different types of lenses you can choose from to take these types of photos, and there are also several kinds of digital single lens reflex cameras that will accommodate you. Here is some advice that will help you find a digital single lens reflex camera that will be great for taking wildlife and action shots. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Comparing Canon EOS 350D and 400D (A review of the 400D) Digital Rebel XTi Camera technology changes so frequently that it is often hard to keep track. One excellent model is upgraded and replaced by its newer counterpart. In this case, Canon EOS 400D / Digital Rebel XTi is one of the newest members on the Canon camera scene and is designed to replace the Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT. The Canon EOS 400D is advertised as an upgrade and a most improved version of the 350D. Released with some controversy, the 400D has been talked about and tested extensively. Canon was somewhat secretive regarding the release of this camera and many popular review sites were ignored as the camera release passed without much fanfare. However, what the camera lacked for in initial fanfare they are more than making up for with the camera’s performance and features. Across the board, the camera truly does live up to its claims. And when comparing it to the 350D, one can see that the 400D really is an upgrade. But is the 400D truly superior to the 350D? Upon observing both we’ve found them to be both similar and different from each other. By observing the design, performance, features, and overall results of both, we were able to determine the pros and cons of each when compared to each other. And scrutiny has been necessary since the 350D is a highly popular, best selling model. Here are the results of our observations. Write Comment (2 Comments) |

Low-Key Low-light shot SLR-like digital cameras are exactly the same as DSLR cameras except for the changeable lens. These cameras have a fixed lens that usually covers most types of photography. Take Fuji’s Fine Pix s9500, for example. This SLR-like digital camera comes with a 28mm – 300mm 35mm-equivalent lens, which covers 28mm wide-angle landscape photography, up to 300mm telephoto for wild life and sports or action shots. It also comes with a 9 Mega Pixel count, which provides high quality pictures. If you are on a budget, SLR-like digital cameras are a good choice because they have good qualities, plus lenses that cover most types of photography. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Sunset snap taken on Canon S2 The less you pay, the less you get. Lower Mega Pixel counts and less control over digital camera’s settings will limit your creativity in the near future.
Prosumer compact digital cameras are often called quality compact digital cameras. These digital cameras offer Mega Pixel counts ranging from 6 to 8, which are within the DSLR Mega Pixel range.
First, you must consider which type of photography you are interested in, and then you should choose a focal range. The lower the focal length, the better it is for wide-angle landscape shooting. The higher the focal length, the better it is for macro, close-up, portraiture and telephotos.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

There are many digital camera buying guides on the internet but not all of them give you enough or complete information to buy the Nature Scene taken on EOS 30D proper one. Digital cameras that are suitable for outdoor photography come in several formats. By far the most popular is the digital single lens reflex, or SLR, camera, which has plenty of lenses to choose from, ranging from wide-angle lenses to super tele zoom lenses. The digital SLR previews the captured images in real time and shows a histogram of those images, both with RGB channels and brightness/contrast defined. Last but not least, it is an extremely versatile device.
A vast range of accessories is available to fit most pockets, and the digital SLR format meets the demands of almost any type of serious outdoor photographer. Compact digital cameras or point and shoot digital cameras are another choice for outdoor photography for photographers who are on a tight budget. Although you have less control over your lens, nowadays these cameras are powerful enough to handle amateur to semi-professional outdoor photography.

All About Single-Lens-Reflex (SLR) Cameras |

Thursday, 12 January 2006 |
Photographers, much like artists, possess reasonable amounts of control over many elements of the masterpieces they create. Single-lens-reflex, or SLR, cameras present an opportunity for photographers to take great advantage over flexibility and creativity while they construct and capture the perfect shots. Digital SLR cameras embrace a number of advantages over 35-mm SLR cameras, such as increased photograph capacity on memory cards, no film costs or processing fees (unless prints are desired), faster shooting speed, higher ISO and ISO changing abilities.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Whether you’re shopping for someone else or planning to pick out the perfect digital camera for yourself, everyone knows electronics can be a costly investment. Rather than rushing out to the store and purchasing a digital camera on the spot, do some research and compare cameras to find the one that best suits your needs. Once you’ve narrowed down the extensive inventory of cameras in electronics stores, camera shops and on the Web, the next step is to shop around for the best price. Depending on the vendor, some merchants will have higher markup than others. When a town is known to be relatively affluent, you can bet your beans that a lot of the stores in that town have higher prices than the same stores in another less wealthy town. In some cases you can obtain the same brand-spankin’-new camera for $50 to $100 cheaper at a superstore like Wal-Mart than at a specialty camera shop. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Buying a new digital camera can be a lot like buying a new car, except you won’t be shelling out nearly as much money! Think about your dream car…would it have a sunroof, convertible top, T-tops? Would it be a compact and economical or large and loud with every luxury feature imaginable? Selecting and purchasing a new car – much like buying a new camera - requires time, effort and a lot of research before signing on the line. Write Comment (0 Comments) |
