The digital imaging program Adobe Lightroom recently made its debut as a public beta for professional photographers. The program allows photographers to minimize the tool panels and focus on the image with just a click of the mouse.
Other special features allow photographers to apply their own logo or signature, as part of an effort to build a portfolio. Photographers may also view numerous photographs at rapid speed, enlarging desired images with the Quick One-to-One Zoom, which focuses on even the tiniest details in a picture.

- Supports RAW processing
- Enhances photographers' creative control
- Photos may be converted to digital negative format, renamed, etc.
- Use of creatively enhanced slideshows for images
- Compatible with Flash, PDF and HTML formats
Though it is available for Macintosh at present, Lightroom will eventually support Windows, as well. The full, final version of Lightroom for Macintosh is expected to be available toward the end of 2006.
